High Quality Aggregates for Kew Bridge Building

Glassfibre reinforced concrete regularly referred to as GRC, is a durable non-combustible building material ideal for facade application.  Versatile in appearance,  each GRC project is bespoke and a range of different colours and textured finishes can customise the final look and feel of a project.

In 2022, the Chatsworth Group were tasked with providing their ‘Canterbury’ Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete as part of a large-scale project at Kew Bridge in London.

The design required GRC material for white bands on every second floor of the building, copings and large format panels around the ground floor entrance.

To help achieve the required look, Derbyshire Specialist Aggregates supplied Chatsworth Stone Masonry with 0-2mm Dolomitic Limestone  – an excellent highquality aggregate which is used in the manufacture of  ‘Canterbury’ GRC (Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete).

The teams communicated regularly to ensure the supply deadlines were efficiently met.
