Slate Walling

Natural hand-picked slate walling stone is ideal for creating dry stone or mortared walls. Flat pieces of varying sizes are packed in crates and can be split to create thinner walling. Makes nice retaining walls between levels and is easier to work with than normal dry stone walling. The colour is blue with slight plum and grey tones. Each crate contains approximately 1 ton of slate walling. A basket will produce approximately 2.25 square metres of single-faced walling when laid dry and 2.50 square metres when cemented. The face of the walling is cut smooth for a smart clean finish. If you require a rougher natural appearance then we have a natural riven finish slate walling.
