Pigmented Quartz is made from spheroidal quartz sands and gravel, which are pigmented with high quality colours.
Quartz Gravel is bound in clear polyurethane or epoxy resins. An acrylic filler coat is used to seal the finished mat.
Quartz Sands are used to create fine Quartz flooring systems these are manufactured using kiln-dried coloured sands, which are bound together using tough solvent free epoxy resins.
The surface is sealed with further coats of epoxy resin and a matt coat is applied to increase slip resistance this also allows the surfaced to be cleaned easily. These surfaces can be created in any RAL colour and is highly aesthetically appealing. The surface is also very hard wearing and can be used for heavy industrial floors. This waterproof flooring can be coved to form an integral skirting for wet areas and ease of cleaning.
Laying Conditions
It is critical that, as with any surfacing area that the preparation is of a sound and clean nature prior to application.
The resins used are specific to the type of application required. There are many types available and are used dependent upon application.
